She is the daughter of the multi talented Kamal Hassan. Shruti Haasan till now has not scored any success in any language of films. All her attempts in films, as an actress and as a music composer have bombed and this talented girl has been craving for some success ever since her debut in Bollywood film, "Luck." She made her Tamil/Telugu debut as a music composer for "Eenadu" but luck did not favor her inspite of the presence of her father, Kamal Hasan.

She has to remain hit less for about 6 movies despite her best efforts. Her acting debut in Telugu, "Anaganaga O Dheerudu" bombed big time though she was lauded for her lissome figure. Her subsequent release, "O My Friend" did not fetch her any recognition either, though she crooned for some numbers in the film. And the colossal failure of "3" which had the world famous, "Kolaveri Di" had earned her a sobriquet of "iron leg," though Shruti was appreciated for her performance. Added to that, Shruti earned a bad name for quitting "Dammu" midway and as an emergency, Trisha had to be roped in.

Her career is in question as people began to call her 'iron leg' as every project she associated, failed at the box office. Finally, she broke the shackles with her latest release Gabbar Singh. It seems to be the sun is shining on this pretty lady giving her the much deserved fame. She had a very small role in Gabbar Singh which had few lines, but despite this Shruti did a marvelous job. Using her facial expressions she matched her steps with the power star Pawan Kalyan. The movie is carrying too positive talk for the moment and going to be the biggest hit of the season so far.

Gabbar Singh finally marks the coming of Shruti Hassan in the industry. With the summers big blockbuster becoming a hit this lady’s future is surely going to scale up high.
