Default Yuvraj Singh taunted by Sri Lankan crowds

Yuvraj Singh was at the receiving end of some verbal jousts from the Sri Lankan crowds that taunted him on the first day of the third Test match between India and Sri Lanka at the P Sara Stadium in Colombo.

The crowds kept jeering at Yuvraj Singh and called him the water-boy, and asking him why was he not playing, in a chorus. They kept repeating the chorus even while the most famous Sri Lankan supporter, Percy, tried to distract their attention by singing other songs.

In the end, an irritated Yuvraj Singh was seen gesticulating towards the section of the crowd which had begun those taunts. In return, the crowd is said to have shown the middle finger to the cricketer, which angered Yuvraj Singh further. The police had to be called to intervene and take control of the situations.
Yuvraj has not had the best of the times recently, as he was dropped from the Asia Cup due to bad form and fitness. His return to the side saw him play in the first Test match, before fitness woes hit again and he was rested for the second Test match between India and Sri Lanka. While he was fit for the third game, Suresh Raina’s century in the second Test match pushed him out of reckoning.
