Default Kaka: I never thought of leaving Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka insists he wants to see out his contract at the La Liga champions and says he was never tempted by other offers.

The 2007 Ballon d'Or winner has sometimes cut a peripheral figure during coach Jose Mourinho's tenure, but impressed with a hat-trick in a September tribute match for the club's honorary president Alfredo Di Stefano.

The friendly match represented his first appearance of the season and after making an impact there, he has gone on to figure more prominently in the team.

"Even when there was lots of talk in the summer I did not think about leaving because I was sure I could bring a lot to Real Madrid," Kaka told Estadao.

"I still have three years left on this contract and I think I can contribute. I want to continue at Real Madrid, earn a place in the team and win titles."

The 30-year-old's motivation also stems from the possibility of representing hosts Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.

Kaka received his first call-up since the 2010 World Cup for October's friendlies against Japan and Iraq and scored in both matches.

"I think those games I had with the Selecao were very good for me," the former AC Milan player added.

"They made it clear that I am in good shape, playing well and it was important for me personally.

"This season has been a reaffirmation for me and the recent games have given me confidence."

Kaka also confirmed that if, and when, he returns to his homeland to play football, his preference would be to play for the club where he first made his name.

"I am not going to Brazil in the short term but if I returned my priority would of course be Sao Paulo," he said.
