The manner, in which Delhi team lost the Saturday's match against Chennai Super Kings, has left many questions unanswered. The controversial game of cricket never ceases to kill the doubt that hangs over the tarnished reputation of the game.

After recent allegations of spot fixing in the IPL, the recent incidents have created an atmosphere of gross mistrust and doubt up to such a level that no single ball or a run is above suspicion.

The team which was struggling to find the momentum till the very last match of the first stage of the tournament has all of a sudden found itself in the final, on the basis of luck and some poor performance by the opposition.

This year's tournament that was seen by the experts as the richest in terms of the quality of cricket, would yield results based on luck up to such a level is beyond comprehension.

Chennai Super Kings boasts of a heavy clout in the Indian Premier League, both off and on the field. They have been the champions of the league twice and runner-up once.

Off the field, their owner India Cements has been associated with cricket in Tamil Nadu for over four decades. They have been promoting cricket in the state at both domestic as well as the national level. The extent of its involvement can be gauged from the fact that it has sponsored 12 Cricket Clubs spread over all the five divisions of the TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association) League.

Though the owner of India cements (also the holder of CSK franchise), Narayanaswami Srinivasan, has always maintained that it is India Cements that holds the ownership rights to the franchise and not him - and that he is just a stakeholder. Narayanaswami Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath - from the AVM family of film producers - is the franchise owner of the CSK.
