India's Twenty20 match against New Zealand in Visakhapatnam on Saturday was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The persistent rain meant Yuvraj Singh's emotional return to cricket did not take place, to the disappointment of the crowd.

The match was to be Yuvraj's first since recovering from a rare germ cell cancer earlier this year but was called off without a ball being bowled.

After the start was delayed by 90 minutes, the match was postponed at approximately 8.30pm local time.

The second and final Twenty20 international between the two nations will be played in Chennai on Tuesday, with the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka to follow.
