After their disappointing campaign in the recently concluded World Cup, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is looking to make amends and has reportedly approached India's former skipper Sourav Ganguly to be the batting coach of their national side.
According to sources, BCB has confirmed the news that they want the services of India's most successful skipper, they are still to make a formal offer to the Bengal icon.

However, this is not the first time the BCB has approached the 38-year-old Ganguly. They made a similar attempt before their team's tour to England, which was declined by Ganguly.
Ganguly said no to the offer then as the former Indian skipper was reluctant to take a full-time job.
BCB decided to part ways with chief coach Jamie Siddons earlier this month and have already short-listed a few names as replacement for the Australian. It is also learnt that former India all-rounder and current Mumbai Indians coach Robin Singh is also in the race.
Bangladesh, the co-host of the World Cup, were unable to cross the first round of the quadrennial event. They conjured an upset against England but went down meekly to other Test playing nations - India, South Africa and West Indies.
