So finally the inevitable is all set to take place in Star Plus’ popular show Saath Nibhana Saathiya.

Post talks of the Rashmi Sharma Productions show going off air, latest news that comes floating is that Saathiya is all set to take a leap of 10-15 years from 16 February (in most probability). With the leap, the story would revolve around the children of the family who would be shown all grown up.

The casting for the new lot of actors is presently on and the creatives are working hard to churn out an interesting plot which will lead to a natural progression into the future story.

Well, if you are wondering whether you would get to see your favourite current crop of actors playing parents, it will take some time to get the answer. As per source info, the production team is currently holding meetings with every actor and trying to figure out their role post the jump.

Shares an actor on terms on anonymity, “The contract renewal is still on process and we have set some conditions regarding the remuneration packages and of course the importance of our characters, post the leap. We will only get a clear picture in the next couple of days.”

Also sources inform that similar to the earlier leap, this one too will see the lives of the family in a different location. The choice of the outdoor location is currently being zeroed upon and things will see a finalization soon.

The show currently has actors Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Mohammad Nazim, Vishal Singh, Firoza Khan, Lovey Sasan and Bhavini Purohit in the leads.

We tried reaching the actors but they remained unavailable to comment.

Our efforts to reach producer Rashmi Sharma also proved futile.

So are you excited about the leap in your favourite show? Let us know in the comment box below.
