    Default Photoshop Tuorial: Creating Sunsets with Silhouettes

    Step 1. Choose the appropriate picture

    In this tutorial you should choose an appropriate picture with no distracting objects. We choose a photo of a couple in the beach.

    Step 2. Use the Quick Mask in Photoshop

    Now we selcet the people in the foreground. Use the Quick Mask to make the selection and then use the Brush Tool to paint away the red.

    Step 3. Create a new Hue/Saturaton Adjustment Layer

    We go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue/Saturarion with our selection made. Drag the Lightness to an appropriate value. Now we choose -100.

    If you find your picture become to this you need to end up.

    Step 4. Create another Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer

    In order to create another Hue/Saturation adjustment layer we go to Layer> New Adjustement Layer> Hue/Saturation. And the setting of Lightness should be -100 also.

    Choose the
    Gradient Tool and press D to set your colors to default. Then we choose the default Black-to-White gradient.

    Select the layer mask on our new Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer.

    Step 5. Drag the gradient to get an effect

    In order to get an effect like this we need to drag the gradient from bottom to top.

    I trust cigratte more than a girl.
    It will damage my lungs but will never break my heart ;-)
