    A positive trend was seen in the bullion market today, as Silver soared by Rupees 395 per kg and Gold advanced by Rupees 155 on sustained demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.



    Silver, which declined by Rs 40 yesterday, today settled at Rs 28,710 per kg owing to speculative demand from industrial users.

    Similarly, Standard gold and Pure gold, after yesterday's fall, advanced by Rs 155 each to finish at Rs 16,875 and Rs 16,960 per ten gm owing to better buying support from stockists, traders added.

    Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 grade : Rs 28,710 (28,315) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity Standard mint : Rs 16,875 (16,720) Gold 99.9 purity Pure gold : Rs 16,960 (16,805).
