The antitrust lawsuit against the tech giants including Apple, Google, Intel and others has got the nod of the Federal judge in accordance to the evidence available in the case. The companies have been alleged of poaching their respective staff.

The US District judge has rejected the companiesí bid to dismiss the proposed class action lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed last year on behalf of five software engineers. It was alleged that there was a secret deal to ensure the tech rivals did not poach coveted workers that led to stifled competition.

The workers also sued Adobe Systems, Intuit, Pixar and Lucasfilm for antitrust violations. The companies allegedly orchestrated limits on cold-calling and recruiting employees from other tech rivals.

The evidence has already unearthed that there were email exchanges between Steve Jobs and Google CEO Eric Schmidt discussing their desire to restrict recruiting efforts aimed at their engineers.

The class action lawsuit if proven, could force the companies to pay millions of dollars in damages.
