Foods to Help You Gain Weight

You can call it the most unacknowledged of all health problems, easily visible to us but seldom noticed, i.e. being underweight.

Some girls might be happy being gifted with a body that fails to put-on any substantial amount of body mass but for guys, such a condition is parallel to being cursed. Despite eating to their heart’s content and exercising hard, some guys just cannot pile-up the pounds! While there is no substitute for exercising regularly and the time or patience it will take to overcome your genetic disposition to remain thin, you can use some useful tips with regards to eating foods that can help you gain weight. This includes:

Opt for Mustard & Flaxseed Oils—Choose Your Fats With Care!

You might be surprised to realize this but all fatty foods are not good for gaining weight. Saturated fats that are found in fries and most packaged snacking items do little besides increasingly clogging your arteries that will only lead to health-related issues in the future. Instead, choose bigger helpings of foods cooked with sunflower, mustard or flaxseed oil. If you cannot have fish on a daily basis, get a fish oil supplement. These food items are loaded with polyunsaturated fats or the EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids). Polyunsaturated fats help to control your blood cholesterol levels, along with helping you to gain weight. These oils are also enriched with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that are used in weight-gaining supplements used by professional weight-lifters—this underlines the tissue-building potency of these oils. EFAs play a critical role in building muscle tissue and ensure that all hormone-producing glands are regulated. This helps to neutralize weight loss due to hormonal problems that are seldom diagnosed.

Make Your Carb Intake Complex—Foods Like Potatoes Can Help You Bulk-Up

You have to let go of refined sugars and foods that contain easily-digestible carbohydrates. To ensure that your metabolism is pushed towards storing more calories, you need to up your intake of complex carbs that are found in simple foods like bananas, potatoes and yams. You can supplement these with semi-fried rice, pasta and legumes like kidney beans (Rajma). Other recommendable sources include rotis in which whole wheat have been used and multi-grain breads and soybean flour.

Don’t Forget the Humble Egg—Muscle or Not, You Need Daily Proteins

People who brought us the jingle, "Sunday ho yaa Monday, roz khao Ande" weren't kidding. Please note that there is major difference between the kind of muscle shown-off by bodybuilders and movie-stars and lean muscle mass. Lean muscles are required to shape the body, keep the tissues uptight and aid mass gains. This needs a constant supply of protein, i.e. on a daily basis. The best and easiest form of daily protein is an egg that you can eat at any time of the day. It contains amino acids that aid your tissue development, lean mass growth and overall immunity. Other natural sources of dietary protein include fish, peanuts and almonds.

Secret to Eating More—Eat Foods That Help To Keep You Hungry!

Perhaps, a big deterrent for your weight-gain efforts is your inability to eat bigger servings. To increase your appetite, you need a basic amount of daily fiber. This helps to clear the intestinal tract. Try to eat fruits like mangoes, apples, chikoo and pomegranates (anaar) that are high-fiber & high-calorie fruits. This way you can increase your appetite and add healthy calories in the form of natural sugars found in these fruits.

Breads, oats and pasta will all help you gain weight, that's if you have no problems with gluten. Also, dried fruits and nuts is another good source, and, obviously, they're raw too, so better for you than processed foodstuffs.
    I love music
