Five deaf and mute girls were allegedly raped in a state-funded shelter for differently abled children in Navi Mumbai.
Fifteen other minors were also reportedly sexually abused. Four people, including the founder of the home have been arrested and put in custody till March 15.

The police say many more could be involved, with the girls reporting they were raped by visitors, including college students and tea vendors.
Senior Police Inspector of Kalamboli Police Station Babasaheb Dubal said, "19 girls underwent medical tests and the medical reports of five of them have proof of their assault. The inquiry is on."
The case came to light after a court-appointed committee visited and spoke to the girls last month. The victims have now been moved to a government-run facility in Karjat.
A member of the court-appointed committee Asha Bajpai said, "The three-member team investigating the shelter found that there wasn't proper documentation of the shelter, the children had bruises and wounds on them, strangers were allowed inside without permission and so, they got suspicious."
