    Default Refused touch screen mobile, 11-year-old hangs self

    An 11-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district after his parents refused him to buy a touch-screen mobile phone on Saturday.

    The victim has been identified as Sujal Mehar, a seventh grade student at Vivekanad English School in garoth area of Mandsaur.

    According to the police, the victim had gone to school, on Friday, only to find that his classmate had a touch-screen mobile phone. After returning home, he urged his parents to buy him a touch-screen mobile phone too. But his parents refused and his mother said that he will never get one.

    Feeling disappointed, he went in his room and hanged himself from the fan with the help of his mother’s sari, police said.

    The victim was the only son after three daughters to the Mehar family.
