We guess Shah Rukh Khan has found a soft corner for TV shows. In his bid to promote his upcoming film Chennai Express, the set of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Sashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions) became the latest station for the superstar to make a stop.

Viewers have been seeing the tough battle of wits and wisdom between the two bahus of the Rathi family in the local quiz contest, Sabse Bada Champion. And with the grand finale being shot last night, who better than the King Khan himself, came over to announce the winner as a celebrity host along with Eijaz Khan.

Quips the chirpy lead of the show, Deepika Singh, “I was extremely thrilled to meet SRK again. The last time when I met him, it was during the music launch of RA.One, but this time he was shooting with us. This is a huge honour.”

Added an excited Pooja Singh who plays Emily on the show, “It was such a thrilling experience meeting the superstar; I haven’t been that fond of him but after meeting him I have become his biggest fan. Even after being such a big star, he was actually the first one to take the initiative to approach us. He really made us comfortable and also did not change a word in his lines and co-operated with us very well.”

The nail biting competition will have a general knowledge round as the final task. This will have Sandhya rattle out maximum answers quickly in order to prove her mettle as someone fit to join the IPS. With this, she will win the competition and Bhabho’s (Neelu Waghela) trust and head off for her journey to fulfill her dreams.

We also hear that Deepika got an opportunity to shake a leg with Shah Rukh on a romantic track of his upcoming film and the star floored the ever smiling girl with his charm.

The sequence will be aired this week.
