    Disney Channel India brings Luck Luck Ki Baat, its first locally produced ‘made-for-TV’ movie for all Disney Channel fans. Riding high on the phenomenal success of the original produced family shows – Best of Luck Nikki and The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir, Disney Channel India will premiere its first family movie, filled with comedy, fun, adventure, luck and of course magic on Sunday, 30 September at 10.00 a.m.

    “At Disney, we develop content with compelling narrative, endearing characters who are locally relevant and can engage kids and families alike. Our locally produced family shows - Best of Luck Nikki and The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir have received an overwhelming response from kids and their families from across the country. We now look forward to premiere our very first original ‘made for television movie in India’ – Luck Luck Ki Baat and create yet another wholesome family viewing experience”, said Vijay Subramaniam, Executive Director – Kids Network, Disney UTV.

    The movie centers around a smart yet easy going, 16-year old, Amit who is a class hero, a basketball champ and yes, an incredibly lucky student and he attributes all his luck to his special gold coin! In a bid to find out about his heritage, he visits a local fair styled around Arabian Nights where the mystery deepens as he encounters a series of mystical and sinister characters; amidst colourful stalls, Arabian dancers and magical tricks! By the next day his luck starts to wear thin as he enters the unknown yet familiar world of magic, genies and more.

    Starring popular and well-known actors, Luck Luck Ki Baat will see the upcoming youth-icon Satyajit Dubey as Amit Kumar, leading television star - Mahesh Thakur reprising the role of Amit’s father – Kishore Kumar, successful theater and television artist Vandana Sajnani as Amit’s Mother – Leena Kumar and making a comeback on the small screen again – Lilliput in the role of Amit’s grandfather – Abul Jan. Essaying pivotal roles in the movie will also be Damandeep Singh as the evil Ifrit Bula Bin Abdulla, Kishan Savjan as Amit’s best friend Manpreet, Ayesha as the teacher’s pet Kainaaz and Maninee De as the strict school teacher Mrs Mukherjee.

    The movie is directed by Iqbal and produced by SOL Productions Pvt. Ltd.
