Rakhi Sawant’s brother Rakesh Sawant is once again set to wear the director’s hat to narrate late actress Laila Khan’s life story. Laila Khan, as we know has been in the news recently after she got murdered brutally.

And for a surprise! He has roped in Veena Malik to play Laila instead of choosing his sister Rakhi.

“I knew Laila very well. In fact, it was I who had launched her in my film. I am doing this film as I want the world to know the reality of Laila’s death and not what the media is showing,” says the director.

Talking about his reason of roping in Veena Malik he shares, “Veena will add much required glamour for this role with her bindaas attitude. Since she is the bad and the good girl at the same time, hence I felt that she was the best choice for this role.”

We tell him his sister Rakhi is no less glamorous and he quickly answers, “The movie has certain bold scenes which would have been difficult for me to shoot with Rakhi as she is my sister. But then she plays Laila’s elder sister Azmina who was responsible for most of the things that happened in her life. It is a very important role.”

We further ask Rakesh if he is fine with Rakhi doing bold scenes in other Bollywood movies to which he says, “When Mahesh Bhatt never had an issue with Pooja Bhatt doing bold scenes, why will I have any issue with my sister if she does bold scenes? Rakhi is what she is because of her boldness and I am completely fine with it.”

Are you ready for an ‘A’ certificate from the Censor Board? “Yes I am. I will be showing the reality of Laila who did nude dances at private parties. I am ready for an ‘A’ certificate.”

The film goes on floor by end of August (2012). Murderer Parvez Tak will be played by Prashant Narayan. Apart from him, Jackie Shroff and Om Puri have been approached to play the main investigative officers in the movie.
