British director Danny Boyle's British-Indian film Slumdog Millionaire, which won four Golden Globes and eight Oscar awards, has been nominated for three categories including 'Best Original Score of the Year' and 'Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film' at the 9th World Soundtrack Awards (WSA), Belgium.

Variety magazine writes that the movie has received the most number of nods for the awards but A.R. Rahman has missed out on the list of 'Film Composer of the Year'. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of Ghent International Film Festival on October 17.

Meanwhile, sources said that Slumdog Millionaire's three children Ayush Mahesh Khedekar, Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali, who played Salim, Jamal and Latika, will be honoured with the Emerging Leadership Award at the 62nd awards gala of Canadian Centre for Diversity on November 19 in Toronto for their accurate depictions of life in the slums of Mumbai.
