Onscreen kisses always leave an impression on audiences be it Devika Rani's bold act when she kissed her 'Karma' co-star, or flowers brushing against each other, or couples hiding behind trees to symbolize that they are kissing. Even the most recent and much talked about 27 kisses that Sushant Singh Rajput shared with his co-stars Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor in the film 'Shuddh Desi Romance', prove that kissing has seen a sea change on the silver screen.

First Kiss The first onscreen kiss in the history of the Indian cinema was shot way back in 1933 between Devika Rani and her co-star and real-life husband Himanshu Rai for the film Karma. The scene lasted for four minutes. The scene was initially not part of the film, but it became widely popular.

Jumma's chumma (kiss) Who would have imagined that the hero of a film would openly demand to be kissed by his ladylove? Well, Amitabh Bachchan did just that when he gyrated to Jumma Chumma De De from Hum and got Jumma (played by actress Kimi Katkar) to oblige, much to his delight.

Longest Kiss The news of perfectionist Aamir Khan and co-star Anushka Sharma sharing a passionate kiss in their upcoming film P.K. is doing the rounds on the grapevine.Apparently, the lip-lock between Aamir and Anushka will be one of the longest ever in Indian cinema.

Serial Kisser It's not for nothing that Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has the Serial Kisser tag. If it's an Emraan movie, there has to be kisses in it. In fact, there are several popular jokes surrounding Emraan and his kissing sprees.

Gay Kiss Bombay Talkies, a package of four short films made to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema, is quite revolutionary. In one of the shorts, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, directed by Karan Johar, Bollywood's first gay kiss has been shown.
