If you would rather remember actor Aarya Babbar as a comic actor, here is a correction from the actor himself. Aarya, who recently played the dim witted, spoilt politician's son and fiancee to Anushka Sharma in Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, says this role was his first out and out comedy.

The actor who has previously rendered roles in films like Ready, Tees Maar Khan says, "If you analyze, my previous roles were always action oriented, with dishum dishum, a roughish attitude, stubble and a grunge appearance....basically a villainous character. But in Matru..., this is a true comic role.

One that is actually funny and stupid. And this is the first film where I have experimented with a clean shaven look. I hope people liked it."

However, Aarya is now keen on breaking his comic cast. "I have been getting offers from good production houses and directors like Anurag Kashyap, Ekta Kapoor etc but I am taking time. Now, I am looking for a different role," says Aarya.

Aarya is happy that the film is still running in theatres. "While filming, it was pretty evident to us all that the film would fall into the critically acclaimed category. I am glad it has proved itself," says Aarya who decided to take his career slow and well deliberated despite having bagged an award for his debut in the industry in 2003.
