Producer-actor Sachiin Joshi's 'Mumbai Mirror', directed by Ankush Bhatt, revolves around the rise and fall of inspector Abhijeet Patil. The plot explores the nexus between dance bar owners and the Mumbai police and also talks about women's safety. It has actors Aditya Panscholi, Prashant Narayanan, Mahesh Manjrekar and Prakash Raj playing important roles.
Sanjay Dutt says the film is relevant in current times. " Mumbai Mirror is different from all the cop films I have seen in recent times. The good thing is that Abhijeet is not a super-cop. He is real... like you and me. Right now women in the country are feeling unsafe and Abhijeet is a cop who protects them."
Adds filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, "I am a commercial producer. That's my sensibility. Like my audiences, I also like to watch an entertaining film. I found Mumbai Mirror packed with masala. It is fast-paced and has good songs, action and drama. It's total time pass."
Trade analyst Komal Nahata says, "I was pleasantly surprised by the film. Ankush has made a fast-paced film, which keeps your interest alive. Writer Ghalib Asad Bhopali deserves a pat on his back for the several twists and turns. Sachiin shows a lot of improvement over his first film, Azaan. He is completely into the character of the police officer."
Mumbai Mirror, produced by Viiking Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd, releases today.
