"Rowdy Rathore" starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha is probably one of the most anticipated films of 2012. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV Motion Pictures, Rowdy Rathore, which features Akshay Kumar in a double role, is a remake of Telugu film Vikramarkudu. The original was a blockbuster, and its Kannada and Tamil versions were hits too. Prabhu Deva is directing Akshay for the first time in this mass masala entertainer.

Now the latest news is that the shooting of “Rowdy Rathore” in Karnataka’s temple town of Hampi was damaged after activists said the lowest variety of local dancers had not been used.

The unit members of “Rowdy Rathore”, directed by Prabhu Deva, had to defeat a quick escape after a few time of shooting Wednesday evening following questions by regional activists.

A tune series, presenting Akshay and Sonakshi, along with many performers, was being taken in Hampi, about 400 km from here, where the mercury has taken up to over 40 degreesT.

Despite the gruelling heat, shooting was in quick progress when some regional activists outlined that the film’s development home, Sanjay Leela Bhansali Movies, had not used at least 30 % of regional performers for shooting the song.

Another reason for stopping filming is that it had taken authorization to photograph a tune series from Thursday to Saturday, but had started Wednesday itself, said activists.

Venkoba Naik, a local activist and freelance journalist, told IANS from Hampi that the whole movie device had no Kannada specialists and all of them, such as the performers, were introduced from Mumbai.

It is stipulated that 30 percent of local artists had to be used for the song shoot in Karnataka.
