Default Akshay Kumar to decide on Oh My God's "climax" sequence

Since the upcoming Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Oh My God is based on the Gujarati play Kanji Virrudh Kanji and the Hindi play Krishan Vs Kanhaiya, the makers have come up with a different ending.

But, the director Umesh Shukla and his writer felt otherwise. Hence, they shot two different climaxes. It is said that Sonakshi Sinha has left for Muscat with both the versions for the leading man to see and zero in on the final climax.

The film, that also has the Akshay as one of the producers, is about how helpless and frustrated Kanjibhai (Paresh Rawal) feels, and how he questions the existence of God and attempts to outsmart him, albeit unsuccessfully.

When his unruly behaviour sparks nationwide chaos, his actions come to the attention of Lord Krishna, a cameo played by Akshay. Krishna pays Kanjibhai a visit, and thus comes the twist in the tale.

The film also marks the launch of Akshay and Ashvini Yardi’s production banner Grazing Goat Pictures and Directed by Umesh Shukla.

Oh My God releases worldwide on 28 September (2012).
